GamesIndustry International has an article online of the top selling franchises from 2005-2012, with EA listed at #3 (2012), and The Sims is listed at #9 (2005-2012)!

EA sent this lovely EA-KeepCup to use during the reviews, since DST is coming soon for us Europeans. The KeepCup will come in quite handy. I have loads of reviews to write and I love to drink coffee, cappuccino, latte etc. Yummm. Thanks EA! :D

EA today announced that their current CEO, John Riccitiello, will resign by the end of the month. Until a new CEO is found, Larry Probst will be the executive chairman. Ricitiello was CEO of EA since 2007 but now feels it's the right time to "pass the baton and let new leadership take the company into its next phase of innovation and growth."

I was planning to write a post about this some time ago, but I was busy with the reviews and just forgot to write this. Sorry!

Our community manager Anita recently left EA, which came to me as quite a shock. She has been the Dutch (or actually, BeNeLux) community manager for many years and it's only fair to wish her good luck with whatever she is going to do next. Thank you Anita for all your hard work. Don't be a stranger, okay? We hope to see you on Gamescom soon! :D

Top brands coming to Europe’s biggest gaming event of the year

Guildford, UK - June 15, 2012 – Electronic Arts is set to delight consumers from around the word at gamescom 2012. The company’s top brands will be in Cologne this August to showcase the latest first person shooter, action, sports, simulation and casual titles across multiple platforms. EA is set to unveil new content and services from its best loved franchises including FIFA 13, Medal of Honor™ Warfighter, Need for Speed™ Most Wanted, Crysis® 3, SimCity™, and others.
